Fees and taxes
Every fee on Lunch Break, who pays it, and where it goes.
There are four charges. Only two of them apply to a plain coin outside the opening window.
| Charge | Rate | Paid on | Goes to |
|---|---|---|---|
| Launch fee | 0.001 ETH | creating a coin | protocol |
| Trade fee | 1% | every buy and sell, curve and pool | 70% creator, 30% protocol |
| Creator tax | 0 to 10%, set at launch | every buy and sell, curve and pool | 100% creator |
| Opening tax | 98% falling to 0% over 30 s | buys in the first 30 s of each session | 70% creator, 30% protocol |
Fees are always taken on the ETH side (or the stock side, for stock-priced coins), never by minting or burning tokens.
Claiming creator fees
Fees accrue as a balance inside the launchpad per coin. From the profile page the creator claims them to the fee wallet in one transaction. Anyone can trigger a claim; it always pays the fee wallet.
Sharing fees with holders
A creator can switch a coin to fees to holders. Then a claim does not pay the fee wallet. It hands the balance to the coin's token contract, which credits every holder in proportion to their balance at that moment. Holders pull their share with a single Claim on the coin page whenever they like; unclaimed rewards do not expire.
Some details:
- The launchpad, the pool, and the token contract itself are excluded from the count, so pool liquidity does not dilute holders.
- If fewer than one whole token is held by eligible wallets at claim time, the claim falls back to the fee wallet.
- The switch can be flipped any time by the creator. Past distributions are not affected.
- Distributions are paid in the coin's quote asset, ETH or the stock.
Changing the fee wallet
The creator can point future fees at a different wallet from the profile page. The wallet named at creation keeps its opening-tax exemption regardless; the new wallet does not gain one.
Protocol fees
The 30% protocol share and launch fees accumulate in the launchpad and can be withdrawn by the contract owner. That is the only money the owner can touch. Curve reserves, pool liquidity, and creator balances are out of reach.
